There are people among us whose steadfast devotion changes lives and influences the course of events. People who refuse to be disillusioned or discouraged, who never lose sight of the ideal towards which they are striving. They are indefatigable, somehow maintaining a positive and hopeful outlook even when bombarded with negativity. The light they shine in the community helps to smooth the pathway for much needed change, ease the pain of hurtful injustice, resolve seemingly insoluble conflict, and enable us to envision something more perfect. You may wonder what the source of this incredible energy is. This passage of ancient spiritual wisdom suggests that it is love.
Love often knows no limits but overflows all bounds. Love feels no burden, thinks nothing of troubles, attempts more than it is able, and does not plead impossibility, because it believes that it may and can do all things. For this reason, it is able to do all, performing and effecting much where those who do not love fail and fall.
