When we face down a difficult task, many times we are tripped up by dwelling on the past or the future. We think, “How many times have I tried and failed at this?  What makes me think this time will be any different?” Or we think, “I will have to make these difficult choices every day from now on! This is too hard!  How can I possibly succeed?”

The fact of the matter is that all we really have is this present moment. This one window of opportunity in which to act. And in this moment we are free. Free from the compulsions of the past and the fears of the future. In this moment we have at our disposal every resource we need to choose. To act according to our deepest values and our highest good. May we seize the moment today!

Have a good week everyone!
