“One of his big goals was to have enough neck strength to use a computer, go in the car, and maybe start to eat again.” With those hopes in mind, our Empath Home Health physical therapist Mark Kleeb supported a patient recovering from a severe neck injury. What began as a challenging season slowly became a journey of renewed strength. Today, that patient walks with a walker, no longer needs a feeding tube, and is back to sharing everyday moments with friends and family. As this month of recognizing home-based care comes to a close, we join the National Alliance for Care at Home in honoring the comfort, dignity, and connection that grow when care is provided where people live.
