One of the “side-effects” of working in an organization which serves people with chronic and life-limiting illness is a heightened awareness of the reality of our own mortality and the mortality of those whom we love. When we begin to really see clearly that our time is limited, it isn’t long before we ask with Stephen Batchelor, “Since death alone is certain and the time of death uncertain, what should I do?”
What shall we do with this new and precious day? Have a great week everyone!
