(Clearwater/St. Pete Beach, Fla.) – In the news each day we learn of a tragedy or illness that takes the lives of loved ones. All too often family members struggle to find a way to honor their loved one, find healing and peace.

Suncoast Hospice, a member of the Empath Health integrated network of care, offers a way to do just that while also raising much needed funds to help those being cared for through hospice programs. The Suncoast Hospice Beach Stroll is an event designed to ‘stroll, stop and reflect’ and is on the beaches of Clearwater and St. Pete Beach. The stroll is a three-mile beach walk, memorial, and a time for peace for anyone of all ages to attend.

“Suncoast Hospice supports thousands of patients and families across the community each year and, as a non-profit, events as special as the Beach Stroll offer a time to reflect while raising funds to help others,” says Rafael Sciullo, president & CEO of Empath Health. “One couldn’t ask for a more genuine act of kindness.”

Both locations will have food and music. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the stroll begins at 9 a.m.
The Beach Stroll is free to register with encouraged donations. Those who raise $35 will receive a beach stroll t-shirt, $50 a t-shirt and CoolFiber small cooling towel, and $100 the items listed above along with a golf cooler. All donations will benefit Suncoast Hospice and all Empath Health members.

The Suncoast Hospice Beach Stroll is organized to celebrate life and provide strength to individuals in need. Participants who wish to honor and celebrate the life of someone close to them have the opportunity to bring a photo to add to the memory wall at the stroll.
