So much of our suffering stems from either resisting an unavoidable unpleasant reality or trying to cling to something pleasant which is ephemeral. Consider these lines from poet, William Blake.
He who binds to himself a joy
Doth the winged life destroy
But he who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in Eternity’s sunrise.
May we ground ourselves in our Source so that we are able to weather the inevitable ups and downs of everyday life with equanimity.
Have a great week, everyone!
